Ironwood & Coppersmith Plazas

2017 | Richmond, BC – The Ironwood and Coppersmith shopping plazas are located in Richmond, BC. McElhanney was hired by Westbank to provide 3D building models for architectural design and site plans for the development permit so renovations and upgrades to the building facades and exterior areas could proceed. To satisfy the development permit requirements, McElhanney also conducted a precise control and legal survey to resolve property boundaries.

McElhanney was initially approached to provide 3D building models for architectural design but when it was explained that the development permit site plan requirements could be fulfilled with the same survey, the client readily agreed to expand the scope. 3D laser scanning provides comprehensive data capture so that multiple surveys can be satisfied with a single scanning campaign.
