Banff National Park is home to a spectacular landscape and countless species of wildlife, attracting more than four million visitors each year.
Banff, AB – To commemorate the 125 the anniversary of Banff National Park in 2010, Parks Canada commissioned the Banff Legacy Trail, a 22.3 km paved trail stretching from the Town of Banff to Banff National Park’s east gate.
The existing Anniversary Park site was in need of an upgrade for a multitude of reasons. The previous park wasn’t formally developed and the limited infrastructure was near the end of its lifecycle.
100 Avenue is a heavily traveled arterial road connecting the City of Surrey’s increasingly busy commercial districts of Central City and Guildford Town Centre. As part of its larger arterial widening program, the City sought to widen 100 Avenue from 140 Street to 148 Street.
This project was awarded the ACEC-BC Award of Excellence.

After 50 years of public petitioning including hunger strikes by the isolated community of Basohli, the Border Roads Organization (BRO) of the Indian Ministry of Defense proceeded with the development of the Atal Setu Bridge, an alternative route to National Highway 1A.
