Canada’s largest infrastructure projects are transforming the country – powering economies, strengthening communities, and reshaping how we move, live, and work. ReNew Canada’s 2025 Top 100 Projects Report spotlights these pivotal initiatives, representing a staggering $300B in public sector investment.

For McElhanney, this year’s report marks a significant milestone: we contributed to 22 of the 100 projects listed (including two that rank among the top 10!), earning us Platinum Status and reinforcing our industry leadership in major and alternative project delivery.

Key insights from the 2025 report reflect both the continued growth of Canada’s landscape and the contributions of McElhanney and our partners in shaping its future:

  • The total value of the 100 projects has reached an impressive $300B, reflecting an $8B increase from last year.
  • The Transit sector continues to lead by investment total, followed by Buildings, Energy, Transportation, and Water / Wastewater.
  • 73 of the Top 100 projects are valued at over $1B – with 16 exceeding $5B – underscoring the scale and impact of these initiatives.

McElhanney takes great pride in achieving Platinum Status, a reflection of the strong relationships we’ve built with our clients, partners, and vendors. We are incredibly grateful for their role in our journey and the trust they place in us to help drive the future of Canada’s infrastructure.

As Jason Ashwin, Vice President of Alternate Project Delivery, reflects, “Receiving Platinum – the highest achievable status – is amazing. It’s a testament to the unwavering support and trust of our industry partners and the capabilities of the McElhanney team. The thought of shaping our communities for future generations is pretty cool.”
