We are excited to announce that McElhanney has been awarded the British Standard Institution (BSI) Award of Excellence for our Quality Management System (QMS) this year!
This award celebrates firms that exemplify a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in quality management. Key criteria include the implementation of an efficient and productive QMS and adherence to internationally recognized ISO standards. As noted by BSI, “winning this award recognizes [McElhanney’s] dedication to quality standards and celebrates the culture of excellence [your firm] has cultivated within your organization.”
Bernard Abelson, McElhanney’s Company Quality Manager and Megan Tenzer, our Company Quality Representative, are thrilled about this recognition. “What we’re most proud of is that this is an award purely based on merit – no award nomination is submitted. As a company, we have dedicated considerable effort to continually advancing our quality management approach since McElhanney first achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2012, followed by ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2018. It is very rewarding to see our efforts recognized.”
“McElhanney has always prioritized quality management and safety, leading us to pursue ISO certification, which is entirely optional. This certification provides our valued clients with an extra level of assurance of excellence in our service delivery,” said Bernard. “Having an external body audit our processes and project managers, in addition to our internal audits, allows us to maintain our quality control standards,” he added.
“As a team, we have worked hard to revamp our QMS in recent years, making it more accessible to everyone and enabling easy procedure compliance. Our BSI auditors have also provided valuable Opportunities for Improvement at almost every audit, most of which we have implemented as we seek to continuously improve,” added Bernard. “I am extremely grateful to Megan, our Internal Auditors, and Branch Quality Representatives who collectively contribute to our success. And, of course, all our project staff who every day demonstrate their commitment to delivering service excellence to our clients!”
