McElhanney Engineer Michael Thiessen was honoured with the 2019 Outstanding Contribution to the BCWWA: Young Professional Award.
This award is given to an individual for outstanding and continued service to the BC Water & Waste Association. He was selected because of his volunteer and leadership efforts on BCWWA’s Young Professionals and Conference Planning committees, its Annual Conference Education Advisory group, and for chairing the 2018 Student Design Competition Committee.
Michael works in our Water Resources Division in Vancouver and is involved in a broad range of projects, from stormwater management plans, water/wastewater facility design, and detailed design of underground infrastructure.
The award was presented at the BCWWA Annual Conference & Trade Show in Victoria on May 28.
Congratulations, Michael!
